Attractions for fans on the day of the selection of the EURO 2012 host

Already tomorrow UEFA is going to make the decision on who will host EURO 2012. In Poznań, Krakow, Warsaw and Wrocław the residents will have the opportunity to follow events unfolding in Cardiff on special telebeams.

The countdown for the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee started in Poznań already on Tuesday. At high noon Poznań billy goats, the pride and symbol of the city, were horning in attire promoting EURO 2012. The disguised billy goats will appear on the city hall also on Wesnesday. On that day the city authorities are inviting Poznań residents to the Liberty Square, where they will have the opportunity to watch a live broadcast from Cardiff on a telebeam. If Poland and Ukraine win the competition, the feasting will be continued during and after the league match between Lech Poznań and Pogoń Szczecin. The agenda covers, amongst others, a concert of a Poznań rapper Liber and a fireworks display.

In Warsaw fans will have the opportunity to watch the broadcast from Wales on a screen to be located in front of the Palace of Culture and Science (on Dramatyczny Theatre side). The city prepared additional surprises for its residents.

The coverage of the selection of the EURO 2012 host will be also shown on Wrocław Market Square. If Poland and Ukraine win the right to host the European Championships, the authorities want to invite residents to the central city square, where they can attend a special concert ending with a fireworks display.

Krakow authorities are also promising some attractions. Fans and tourists will have the opportunity to follow the events from Cardiff on a telebeam located on the Main Square. Additionally there will be competitions, meetings with footballers of local clubs, performances of martial arts and dances and concerts.
